Environment allows for quick development of forms, queries and reports. Completely VBA and SQL programmable; perfect for standalone and front end applications

Disadvantages:

Performance suffers with many users; data must be in the local domain.

Advantages:

Fast, and built to serve many users and a large data flow. Data may be located in a remote location.

Disadvantages:

Cost; more complex to administer, program and maintain. Not suited for standalone applications. Requires front-end.
